LSC Apprenticeship
Level 2/4 Coaching and Developing Lead Schools Sport Coach
LSC coaching provides children from 18 months to 12 years engaging, fun and educational sessions across a variety of services and sports.
We believe in creating and providing children with active, inclusive, and encouraging sessions to allow all to develop a healthy physical, mental, and social lifestyle.
​LSC has grown from Little Scrummers rugby coaching to providing a full nursery, primary, infant, and junior schools, and community programme. The past 12 months have seen rapid growth in our coaching provision and have created a need to further develop the coaching team.
​Opportunity
The LSC coaching provision means we now have opportunities for potential sports coaches to join our team to not only deliver coaching provision but also study alongside this to gain the national qualification of –
-
Level 2 Sports COMMUNITY ACTIVATOR COACH (16 yrs + with GCSE)
-
Level 4 SPORTS COACH (18 yrs + with A Levels/Btech)
The role will see the coach be an essential part of the development and implementation of all services and provisions provided, whilst being in a positive working environment.
Job Role – Specifics

Reporting directly to the Company Directors and Coaching Excellence & Education Manager you will be responsible for but not limited to:

To provide Sports & play provisions for all LSC Coaching sessions.

Use LSC Coaching curriculum planning to deliver coaching sessions, whilst developing and creating plans of your own.

To complete regular CPD training on all sports & play services provided by LSC.

Undertake additional qualifications needed for the role.

Support the setting up of new provision of services.

Develop, maintain, and support partner venues, providers, and organisations.

Delivery as of RED Sports & Play Camps, with the goal of camp manager.

Organise and prepare for the delivery of RED Sports & Play Camps for each Holiday provision.

Identifying new clubs, school areas, partners, and opportunities for LSC provision.

Complete weekly PPA (planning and preparation time)

Complete essential admin tasks.

Support when needed with RED Sportswear admin, warehouse management & events.

Maintain coaching quality and standards across the business.
-
Support marketing development.
Hours to be completed will be 30 hours per week which includes apprenticeship course learning time (some additional learning time out of hours will be needed). The role will also include-

A rota of work will be provided on a two-week basis but will be subject to change depending on need of provision, which will be including weekends.
Desired Skills

Interest and enthusiasm for many sports.

Good spoken and written communication skills.

A good knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Canva.

The ability to inspire confidence and motivate performance.

The ability to work independently and or as part of a team
good organisational and time management skills

First Aid – (Training will be provided)

A Full Clean Driving License (Level 4 Sports Coach)
There is an essential travel need for the role to attend venues of provision, which maybe include multiple venues within one working day. Travel further afield will be clearly identified with as much notice as possible.
